Chikoo Milkshake

Hello friends,

I see lots of summer fruits and vegetables around and their recipes floating everywhere. It is so nice to see and eat these juicy fruits and vegetables.

I eat chikoos (many of you may know it as sapota) but never had a milkshake before. My sister-in-law suggested making this and it really came out well.

Chikoo Milkshake - चीकू milkshake

Ingredients
Chikoo - 1 cut into slices
Milk - 1 cup
Sugar - 2 tsp (or as per your liking)
Coco powder - 1/2 tsp
Cardamom Powder - 1 pinch
Malai (Heavy Whipping Cream) - per your liking - I skipped this step :)
Preparation

  • Puree everything together (except malai and coco powder) in the bledner.

Serving
Take the milkshake in the desired cup, sprinkle coco powder and top it with malai (whipping cream). The picture I took is not at all good, so please don't pay much attention to that.

Sending this to Thanda Mela event of Srivalli. Hope you all like it.

This also goes to Cooking with Seeds - Cardamom Seeds event hosted by Priya.

Till next post, take care.

Dear Priya,
Your chikoo shake reminded me and my family of our life around DAIRYDEN in Baroda where we use to have our favorite on every week end during late night sitting in the middle of the road. I always wondered why was it sooo tasty. You probably answered and it could be Adding cocoa to chikoo milk shake.
Best Wishes

Thanks for your compliments. I think we all need these cold milkshakes or drinks during summer and should keep ourselves properly hydrated.

Welcome @ Leena to my blog. Please keep visiting and following my blog :)

Absolutely mouth watering. I too was thinking to send the same one to srivalli's event. This is the most favorite drink of mine. The only milkshake I drank when I was back in India.
Now I go with frozen stuff found in Indian stores and just add sugar & milk.
