Nariyal aur Kairi ki Chutney - नारियल और कैरी की chutney (Coconut and Raw Mango Chutney)

Hello friends,

As we all know summer is here, so more and more summer veggies and fruits are being used. Here is one such veggie (yep raw mango) which basically in this season gets mixed with anything and everything and makes a yum recipe. Here is one such chutney that we enjoy. The pic is not what I wanted it to be.

Nariyal aur Kairi ki Chutney - नारियल और कैरी की chutney (Coconut and Raw Mango Chutney)

Ingredients
To Grind
Grated Coconut - 1 cup
Roughly Chopped Raw Mango - 1 cup (if the mango is too sour, reduce the quntity to your liking)
Green Chillies - 2-3 (increase or decrease depending on your palette)
Salt - as per taste
For Tempering
Rai (Mustard Seeds) - 1 tsp
Jeera (Cumin Seeds) - 1 tsp
Heeng (Asefoetida) - a pinch
Red Chillies - 2 broken in pieces
Curry leaves - a few
Oil - 1 tsp
Preparation

  • Grind everything under "To Grind" to a coarser paste (not all the way smooth fine paste but little coarse)
  • Take a pan and add oil in it.
  • Once oil is hot, add everything under "For Tempering" and let the seeds splutter.
  • Add the tempering into the chutney.

Serving
This can be served with hot rice or idli/dosa/uttapam alike.

That's all for now. Till next post take care.
