Hello Friends,
Here is another wonderful event that I am hosting on my blog and hoping a huge participation from all of you my readers.
When Nayna contacted me for this event, I was thrilled and immediately chose this theme as I relate with it a lot. I am talking about this beautiful and delicious event called of Flavors of various states. Please check the link for previous announcements and roundups.
The theme for my hosting event is called "Flavors of Bengal".
For many of you who do not know, my roots are kind of related to West Bengal as I was born in a town called Chittaranjan of West Bengal. I am very sure that you have heard about that city, as it has Locomotive Works called CLW where most of India's Railway Engines are manufactured :) I spent almost 18 years of my life going there once every year in summer as my "nanihal" (maternal grand parents' place) was there.
Anyways, I am very attached to Bengali cuisine as my mom and grandma always cooks these vegetarian bengali dishes for us and we cherish them always and actually one of my favorite Bengali dishes is called "Aloo Posto", which is a preparation of potatoes in Poppy Seed gravy. I will surely be posting it for the event :)
If you want to learn more about Bengal or Bengali cuisine, google it as there were too many links for me to link them here. Everything about Bengal is sweet, the food, language, people everything :)
Now, coming to the rules of this event:
